New affordable Casio Vintage A158 metal strap watches coming to more countries

Two new Casio Vintage A158WEA watches have been confirmed for release in more European countries. The blue and light gray colorways are already available in markets like the UK and Japan.

In countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, Casio has now listed the A158WEA-2 and A158WEA-7 watches at its online store. They have a €39.90 RRP, and are said to be “coming soon”, though an exact release date has not been provided. Instead, you can use the black “Sign up now” button on the product page to register for an email launch notification.

The Casio Vintage A158WEA-2 and A158WEA-7 watches are the latest models to join the A158 series, which began in 1989. Each version has a silver tone resin casing to match the accompanying stainless steel bracelet. Both also have a light background display at their centre, with a darker blue frame on the A158WEA-2 and a light gray surround on the A158WEA-7.

Features of the A158 watch include basic waterproofing, making it suitable for everyday use, and an estimated battery life of seven years. On the digital display, users can view the time in a 12 or 24 hour format alongside the date and day of the week. There are tools like a daily alarm, a stopwatch and hourly time signals. Plus, a green LED backlight ensures you can read the watch at any time. Casio has yet to announce whether or when the Vintage A158WEA-2 and A158WEA-7 watches could be released in the US.
