Casio releases new digital watch with leather straps in the US

The Casio Vintage LA680WEL-1 watch is now available in the US. This black and silver watch was recently launched in Japan alongside a second gray and silver colorway, known as model LA680WEL-8A2.

Casio’s new Vintage LA680 series watch has a silver-coloured chrome-plated resin bezel and a black genuine leather band, with an embossed pattern. Casio describes the model as “sophisticated”, and it is relatively lightweight, weighing 15 g (~0.5 oz) and measuring 33.5 x 28.6 x 8.6 mm (~1.3 x 1.1 x 0.3 inches).

The Vintage LA680WEL-1 has a streamlined digital face, showing the date in a 12 or 24 hour format, alongside the date and day of the week. The calendar is automatic, and the watch should remain accurate to within 30 seconds each month. There are also tools like a daily alarm, hourly time signals and a 1/100th second stopwatch. Plus, an amber LED backlight can illuminate the screen at night, and it is water resistant for everyday use.

You can now buy the Casio Vintage LA680WEL-1 watch at the brand’s online store in the US for $54.95. Whether or when this product could be released in European countries like Germany remains to be seen.
