Shelly launches new Cury smart diffuser with dual scent compartments

Shelly has launched the Cury smart diffuser in Europe. The smart home brand claims that this is the first product of its kind, offering a combination of home fragrance and natural protection against mosquitoes.
The Cury by Shelly smart diffuser is described as “clean”, as it is said to leave no oil residue on surfaces. It is marketed as suitable for small to medium sized rooms, automating scent dispersion. The device offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, with users able to remotely control the device via the Shelly Smart Control App. Here, you can set your desired intensity of scent, create a schedule, or switch the gadget on or off. It also supports integrations with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Home Assistant.
Safety features include protection against overheating and a child lock, and the cruelty-free fragrances are also safe for pets. There are ten scents to choose from, including Summer Bliss (lemon, lavender, sandalwood), Aqua Noire (rose, blackcurrant, myrrh) and the insect repellent Healing Star (citrus, jasmine, lily of the valley, amber). Each vial should last for around 120 hours with average use, and the Cury can house two scent bottles simultaneously.
In Europe, you can buy the Cury by Shelly smart diffuser for around €83. With their purchase, users get two premium fragrances: Amber Dusk (mixed citrus) and Shelly (floral). It is unclear when this smart home device will be released in the US.
