Xiaomi officially releases new Self-Install Smart Lock in Europe

The Xiaomi Self-Install Smart Lock has been officially released in Europe. Unveiled towards the end of 2025, this smart home device was spotted at several European retailers earlier in 2026.
Xiaomi has now listed the Self-Install Smart Lock at its online store in Spain. Here, it is listed with a €139.99 RRP; this includes both the lock and the keypad accessory. This is lower than the price listed at retailers like Galaxus in Germany (curr. €145.19).
Xiaomi’s new product is designed to convert a standard lock into a smart lock. The main body of the Self-Install Smart Lock can fit over a key or knob on the inside of your door, mechanically turning these when triggered. According to Xiaomi, its installation does not require drilling, so there should be no damage to your door. Unlocking methods of the Xiaomi Self-Install Smart Lock include a fingerprint, a password, Bluetooth and voice commands. Thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity, you can check on the lock’s status in the brand’s app; for example, you can check for multiple failed unlocking attempts or get a tamper alert. Plus, it supports Matter, meaning it will integrate with many smart home ecosystems.
It is unclear when the Xiaomi Self-Install Smart Lock will be available at the Xiaomi online store in other European countries. However, support pages on the brand’s site in countries such as the UK, Spain and Italy point to an upcoming wider rollout.
