Husqvarna reveals three new entry-level wire-free robot lawn mowers

Husqvarna has unveiled three new robot lawn mowers in Europe. These are all entry-level models, suited to different lawn sizes, with varying battery capacities. The Automower Aspire R6V is designed for yards measuring up to 600 m² (~0.15 acres) in size, while the Automower 308V and the Automower 312V are suited to areas up to 800 m² (~0.2 acres) and 1,200 m² (~0.3 acres), respectively.
The new Husqvarna Automower robotic mowers do not require a boundary wire, using satellite-based navigation technology instead. This is said to be accurate at a cenitmeter level, and do not require a subscription. However, it is worth noting that the products therefore require Wi-Fi coverage across the entire lawn, unless you are using an accessory like the brand’s EPOS RS1 reference station.
Other features of the Husqvarna Automower Aspire R6V, Automower 308V and Automower 312V models include built-in cameras allowing the robots to detect and avoid obstacles. A weather timer protects your lawn by only mowing as needed. Plus, users can remotely manage the mower via the Automower Connect app, where they can customize saved maps, select from a range of mowing patterns and set up a schedule. On top of this, they support Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Each robot has a dark gray body, measuring 59 x 45 x 25 cm (~23.2 x 17.7 x 9.8 inches).
The Husqvarna Automower 308V and Automower 312V robot lawn mowers are scheduled for launch on March 2nd. The 308V model will retail for £1,249/€1,399 and the 312V version will cost £1,499/€1,699. The Automower Aspire R6V is priced at £999/€1,099, though its release date remains unknown for the time being.
