Roborock launches new powerful P20 Max robot vacuum

The Roborock P20 Max robot vacuum cleaner and mop has been launched in China. This is billed as an upgraded version of the P20 Ultra Plus, which was released globally as the Qrevo Curv 2 Pro.
Firstly, the new Roborock P20 Max robot vacuum is more powerful than its predecessor, offering up to 35,000 Pa suction rather than 25,000 Pa suction power. It has the same main roller and side sweeper brushes, with new carpet pressure cleaning functionality, suiting carpets with piles up to 3 cm tall (~1.18 inches). For mopping, there are rotating mop pads at the rear, with a supply of 60°C (140°F) hot water. Another mop-related function that is said to have been improved is the automatic 100°C (212°F) mop washing at the docking station.
Another upgrade for the Roborock P20 Max is the AdaptiLift chassis; it is equipped with version 3.0 of the technology, allowing it climb over double thresholds measuring around 8.8 cm (~3.46 inches) in total. The new model has the same retractable LDS sensor as its predecessor, with better obstacle avoidance recognising 280 types of objects. It is fractionally slimmer too, with the body measuring 7.95 cm (~3.13 inches) tall rather than 7.98 cm (~3.14 inches) tall.
In China, the Roborock P20 Ultra Plus is launching with a CNY 4,299 (~$622) RRP; the P20 Ultra Plus was released at the same price. It is unclear when Roborock will release an international version of this model, and its global name also remains to be seen.
