Mecool launches affordable 4K Google TV box with expandable storage and LAN port

Mecool has introduced a new affordable 4K Google TV box, the MEon1. It's powered by the Amlogic S905X5M, a high-performance 6nm chipset with a quad-core CPU and Mali G310 V2 GPU. This SoC is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage.
Speaking of which, the storage of this Android TV box is upgradeable. It comes with a dedicated microSD slot that can hold a 128GB memory card. This isn't the only expandability option, however. There are two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one AV, and one S/PDFIF port available.
The MEon1 Google TV box also makes it easier to get stable internet connectivity. It has a LAN port on the back, and for those who prefer wireless, there's WiFi 6. Mecool also highlights the device coming with Bluetooth 5.2, and it has support for AV1 decoding, 4K decoding at 60Hz, and HDR10.
Other notable highlights of the Android TV box include a sleek design, Chromecast built-in, Dolby Atmos and Vision, Android 14, and Netflix 4K certification. The MEon1 is currently available on AliExpress at $103.58, and the streaming box comes with a remote that features a built-in microphone setup for voice prompts.
