Only 6 mm thick: Xiaomi releases wireless power bank in new colours
Yesterday, Xiaomi finally added the Ultrathin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W to its global website. Shortly beforehand, the company indicated that the accessory would not reach any other markets until after its launch event on February 28. However, it has quietly released the Ultrathin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W in more countries ahead of time.
Initially, the Ultrathin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W was available exclusively in Japan before reaching Australia, Singapore and South Korea in late January. Then, Xiaomi listed the charger in the UK before quickly removing it. Now, the company has started selling the accessory in Malaysia and Thailand to rival Apple's MagSafe Battery (curr. $79 on Amazon).
Not only that, but both countries have received the Ultrathin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W with its two new colour options. For reference, Xiaomi describes these as Graphite Black and Radiant Orange, with Glacier Silver being the only colour option in which the accessory was previously available.
All finishes offer 22.5 W wired and up to 15 W wireless charging with a 5,000 mAh built-in battery too, though. Xiaomi has priced the Ultrathin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W at THB 2,490 (~$80) in Thailand with a THB 2,990 (~$96) MSRP. Meanwhile, the same device has reached Malaysia for MYR 369 (~$95), with an initial discount dropping it to MYR 259 (~$67).
