Evercade Wireless Controller announced for VS, VS‑R and Alpha, launches September 2026

Evercade has finally delivered on what fans have been requesting for years. In a recent announcement, the company stated on social media that it’s working on the Evercade Wireless Controller, a new accessory meant to cut the cord for its popular Evercade lineup, slated for September 2026.
In an official statement, Evercade stated:
Coming Sep 2026 – the controller you’ve all been asking for! Introducing the Evercade Wireless Controller, for use with VS, VS-R, and Alpha systems, including turbo fire, analog sticks, and a dongle with magnetic storage. Available for pre-order at select retailers.
The wireless controller seems like a natural step for Evercade’s lineup of systems, including the VS, VS-R, and Alpha consoles, which have unfortunately been limited to wired controllers since launch. The controller features a traditional layout, keeping the D-pad and ABXY face buttons. However, it adds dual analog sticks with adjustable dead zones and sensitivity.
The controller also comes with a Turbo and an Automatic Fire mode, allowing gamers to spam inputs repeatedly while holding down a button, and the latter allows the controller to keep spamming the input even if you’re not holding down the face button. Gamers can also customize the input to their needs.
This makes it perfect for shooters, run-and-gun games, and optimizing fire rates in many older games without jamming inputs.
However, that’s not all: The Evercade Wireless Controller features a built-in battery that delivers up to 15 hours of playtime and charges via USB-C. In addition to the Evercade system lineup, it also supports PC, Mac, Android, and the Nintendo Switch systems 1 and 2. It also comes with a wireless USB dongle, which snaps magnetically onto the back of the controller.
Pre-orders for the controller have already gone live at retailers like Funstock in the UK for £34.99, with more to follow suit. So far, it’s been revealed that the official release has been locked in for 28 September 2026, which makes its debut timely, given that Blaze Entertainment has already confirmed that Doom and many other games are headed to its Evercade platform later this year.
