Smart Pro S: New retro handheld officially available with major upgrades over TrimUI Smart Pro

TrimUI is yet to confirm when it will be launching its Brick Pro handheld yet. Based on recent leaks, it looks like the Brick Pro could soon be complemented by the Flap X1 as a Retroid Pocket Flip 2 alternative (curr. $269.99 on Amazon). In the meantime, TrimUI is now offering the Smart Pro S through its official online store.
To recap, the Smart Pro S landed in November 2025 running a Linux fork rather than Android. However, the handheld's release only extended to Mech DIY, with other third parties picking up the Smart Pro S thereafter. Now, TrimUI has started stocking the handheld directly with numerous configuration options.
Specifically, the company offers the Smart Pro S in a choice of six colours and four microSD card sizes. At the bottom end sit versions with no microSD card, which retails for $99.99 or $93.88 including a 6% discount. TrimUI sells SKUs with 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB microSD cards though, with the latter currently priced at $131.88 ($139.99 MSRP).
All SKUs feature an Allwinner A523 chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 4.96-inch IPS display that resolves at 1,280 x 720 pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio. An active cooling solution contributes to a 27 g weight increase over the original Smart Pro, though. Please see TrimUI's website for more details.
