Gaminja ANS13: A Game Boy-style retro gaming handheld with 15,000+ games

Another day, another noteworthy retro gaming console deal arrives, and this time, it is the Gaminja ANS13, a Game Boy-like handheld console featuring a 4-inch square display with 1:1 aspect ratio and 720 x 720 resolution.
Looks and features-wise, it's very similar to the R36 Max 2, the R350S, or the Data Frog R36S retro consoles but it comes with a lower price tag of just $39.83 on AliExpress as a part of spring sale. It has to be noted that many handhelds similar to the one described here are routinely available to buy for under $40.
Under the hood, it features the familiar 2018 Rockchip RK3326 SoC with four ARM Cortex-A35 cores and a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU running at 1.5GHz. The device ships with 64 GB of storage and is advertised as sporting more than 15,000 preloaded games.
Unlike many ultra-budget clones, the ANS13 features dual Hall-effect joysticks, which should theoretically last longer compared to traditional analog sticks. For power, it includes a 3,500-mAh battery for four to six hours of gameplay, chargeable via the built-in USB Type-C port. The handheld measures 147.9 × 83.5 × 40.6 mm, making it compact and pocketable enough.
As a Reddit user points out, the ANS13 is yet another EmuELEC-style clone and one of many R36S-inspired devices currently flooding the market. While some criticize the outdated RK3326 SoC, others acknowledge that, at this price point, it still offers a solid value for casual use or as a gift, partly thanks to the dual Hall-effect joysticks.
This being Aliexpress, delivery times will differ depending on where you are, and import fees or taxes may apply.
What appears to be Gaminja's official website does not reveal how the game included were sourced.
