The gaming handheld market is awash with Rockchip RK3326-powered devices. Nonetheless, Retro Handhelds has noticed that a new example has entered the fray with a feature set that puts it ahead of the Game Console R36S.
The BatleXP G350 complements the RK3326 with a 3,200 mAh battery, 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a familiar 3.5-inch IPS display that resolves at 640 x 480 pixels. The 4:3 panel sits within a 128 x 81 x 22 mm housing, which makes it slightly smaller than the Anbernic RG353V from which it draws obvious inspiration.
The G350's control layout is identical to the RG353V's too, although it lacks a front-firing speaker. Instead, BatleXP has opted for a down-firing speaker, which results in its USB Type-C port being positioned along its top edge with its 3.5 mm jack.
According to Retro Handhelds, the G350 features superior ABXY buttons than the R36S. The same is also true of its d-pad, of which Retro Handhelds has no complaints. Currently, the G350 is available for $33.69 on AliExpress and $49.99 on Amazon in DMG, Transparent Black and Transparent Pink finishes.
