The GPD Win Mini 2025 has available for over a month after it was showcased during the holiday season. As it stands, GPD only offers the latest version of the Win Mini through Indiegogo, through which it sells most of its devices.
While there are no reports of GPD failing to fulfil an Indiegogo campaign, there are certainly drawbacks to purchasing an expensive gaming handheld via a crowdfunding website. For instance, the price quoted does not include import taxes and duties. The RMA process will likely require sending the device back to Shenzhen, China, which can be a lengthy and expensive process.
However, Droix, a well-known retailer within the gaming handheld community, has now started stocking the Win Mini 2025 on its UK and US websites. Hence, Droix is bound by UK and US consumer contract laws; RMA returns will be handled by UK or US warehouses, too. At the time of publication, Droix is charging the following for the latest Win Mini:
- AMD Ryzen 7 8840U, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD - £930.95/$890.95
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD - £1,450.95/$1,400.95
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 64 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD - £1,590.95/$1,540.95
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 32 GB RAM, 4 TB SSD - £1,730.95/$1,670.95
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB SSD - £1,870.95/$1,810.95
In other words, the Win Mini 2025 should be about as powerful as the OneXFly F1 Pro (curr. $1,569.99 on Amazon). Although the prices quoted are higher than GPD charges on Indiegogo, they include all taxes. The Win Mini 2025 will begin shipping from Droix on March 14. As we have discussed previously, the latest Win Mini features improved cooling and an M.2 2280 SSD slot, among other changes.
