GameMT is probably not the most prominent manufacturer around, but the company produces gaming handhelds that might be worth a look. Last year, it introduced the E6 Plus, another device that can be used to enjoy video games on the go.
Now, GameMT is launching the new E6 Max handheld, which follows the same concept and is not capable of rendering the latest AAA games. However, the mobile gaming system is based on Android 13 and can emulate games for various older consoles, which can be stored on an SD card.
Compared to the GameMT E6 Plus, the E6 Max is powered by an Allwinner A527 SoC, but we don’t expect noteworthy performance gains. The gaming handheld is further equipped with 4GB RAM, which would be considered quite paltry for a modern Android smartphone. The E6 Max also features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Moreover, there’s an HDMI port for video output on an external monitor or television.
WiFi 6 for fast wireless connections is on board as well. The device weighs 1.3 lbs and comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The GameMT E6 Max has analog sticks, a D-pad, action buttons and even shoulder buttons and triggers, which are needed for more complex video games. Unfortunately, official pricing or a launch date for the new gaming handheld console have not been disclosed thus far.
