GPD rounded out 2024 by refreshing the Win Max 2 2025 with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU and 64 GB of RAM. Subsequently, the company outlined that it would be giving the Win Mini the same treatment with a 2025 release of its own, which it is now offering globally on Indiegogo.
This year's refresh is more than a simple APU swap, though. As The Phawx demonstrates in his review embedded below, the latest Win Mini is about 1 mm thicker and 4 mm wider than the 2024 edition (curr. $1,185 on Amazon). The slight increase in footprint has allowed GPD to include an M.2 2280 SSD and an overhauled cooling system. The Win Mini is available in a new white colourway this time around too, unlike earlier models.
The Win Mini 2025 starts at $769 with 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD and the same Ryzen 7 8840U APU as last year's model. By contrast, Ryzen AI 9 365 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 variants cost at least $1,000 but can be configured with up to 64 GB of RAM. All SKUs should begin shipping in March and can be optioned with a GPD G1 eGPU for an additional $610. Full pricing and SKUs for the Win Mini 2025 are as follows:
- AMD Ryzen 7 8840U, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, Black - $769
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 365, 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD, Black - $1,181
