Honor has ostensibly designed its new mid-rangers to strive to be the most distinctive camera smartphones out there - however, they are nobodies in terms of the ongoing Android battery revolution, having a mere 5,300mAh capacity even in their latest Ultra variant.
In fairness, the OEM has yet to breach the 6,000mAh mark in its latest flagship series either. The 400 series, however, is now tipped to cruise past even the Magic7 RSR in these terms.
The upcoming range might be the one now linked to an up-to-date 7,000mAh spec by the typically accurate leaker Digital Chat Station.
That might be a significant boost for the Honor 400 Ultra and/or Pro, although they might have to sacrifice their predecessors' currently class-leading 80W wireless charging feature to make the upgrade, if the world's current mid-range 7,000mAh trailblazer is anything to judge by.
The Honor 400 Pro and 400 Ultra are also thought to adopt the upcoming sub-flagship Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset, possibly because the 200 Pro that might share their mid-year launch window had the analogous 8s Gen 3.
Accordingly, we might expect to see the whole 400 series in or around May 2025, possibly with even more strangely-shaped camera humps to go with their allegedly greatly enlarged batteries.
