Honor has unveiled the Honor Pad V9. The new tablet can now be preordered in China for roughly US$274, with the regular list price starting at around US$288. For the money, users will get a tablet with 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of internal storage. The Honor Pad V9 is also available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. The tablet is offered in three colourways. Honor hasn’t provided any official information regarding international pricing and availability.
The Pad V9 features an 11.5-inch display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 and support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate, allowing for exceptionally fluid visuals. Honor claims that the LCD panel has a typical peak brightness of 500 cd/m². The tablet can accept inputs from a compatible stylus and uses the Extreme version of the MediaTek Dimensity 8350. This SoC features four Cortex-A510 cores as well as four Cortex-A715 cores capable of running at up to 3.35 GHz, up from the 3.2 GHz in the standard version. The main camera and front camera have a resolution of 13MP and 8MP, respectively. Powering the tablet is a 10,100 mAh battery, which can be charged at up to 66 watts. The Honor Pad V9 supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 but lacks an option for cellular connectivity. It weighs 475 g (approx. 1.05 lb).
The tablet is going to ship with MagicOS 9.0, which is based on Android 15. There are various AI features designed to assist users in their everyday life. For instance, the company says that their AI solution is able to convert voice memos to text, extract key points from existing digital documents, and generate equations from handwritten notes. It is possible to use a keyboard for window management, enabling the tablet to be used as a laptop replacement.
