Apple's 15.3 developer beta for macOS makes Apple Intelligence accessible to users on the Mac with the artificial intelligence suite. Among other new features, Mac users can now create custom emojis using text prompts called Genmoji.
9to5mac noted that users can create a Genmoji through the emoji picker next to the text box. You can then describe the type of emoji you want to make. Genmoji are made on-device. You can also create Genmoji in the standalone app - Image Playground, which lets users generate images through text prompts.
You can customize Genmoji with accessories like hats or sunglasses. They can be personalized using photos from your library to include the likeness of people. Stickers made with Genmoji can be used in Messages, Notes, or Keynote. They can be shared as reactions in Tapback. Genmoji are synced on iCloud and can appear across all compatible devices.
The beta doesn't have any other noteworthy visual updates or features but comes with bug fixes and improvements. Along with macOS 15.3 developer beta, Apple has also released betas for iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and visionOS 2.3. Additional Apple Intelligence features will arrive in 2025.
