Following the launch of Apple's M4-powered Mac Mini in October, there have been more than a few accessories to enhance the computer. From a dock that adds more ports to a storage expansion accessory for adding up to 8TB more storage, the new Mac Mini isn't short of accessories. Now, you can purchase an accessory that transforms the Mac Mini into a miniature Mac Pro while solving some of the Mini's flaws.
Made by Zeera, the MacForge is a CNC aluminum cooling case that's designed to house the Mac Mini powered by the M4 and M4 Pro chips. The cooling case has a design that's inspired by the Mac Pro, and while it will give your Mac Mini a sophisticated look, it is also functional.
Thanks to its design, the MacForge allows the Mac Mini to stand vertically which helps with heat dissipation since the fan isn't facing downwards. In addition, Zeera claims the aluminum body helps draw heat away from the device to prevent overheating during intensive tasks.
Another pro of the aluminum case is that it solves the issue of the Mac Mini's power button which Apple decided to place on the underside. However, that shouldn't be a problem anymore since the computer will now stand upright in the case. Zeera has added a metal button to the case that makes it easier to access the power button.
The Zeera MacForge aluminum case for the M4-powered Mac Mini is available in silver and black. It is priced at $159.99 but there's a $30 discount that brings it down to $129.99. Zeera says due to high demand, orders will be shipped on a first-come, first-served basis. Shipping is within three weeks of purchase and the first batch of orders should begin to ship on December 31, 2024.
