This year's last major update, labeled 2.43 "Storm Warning" by Gaijin, brings quite a few exciting pieces of military hardware to War Thunder. Alongside the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Rafale jets, this refresh also brings the M44 and PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers, several ships, the Attica location for ground battles, and more.

War Thunder 2.43 "Storm Warning" arrived yesterday, and, as it happened with this game's last major update of the year so far, it packs quite a punch. In addition to the usual set of minor tweaks and fixes, there are quite a few planes and armored vehicles that many players have been waiting for, such as the French Rafale or the several Eurofighter Typhoon variants that are joining the German, British, and Italian tech trees.

In addition to the jets mentioned above, the highlights of the War Thunder 2.43 "Storm Warning" update also include the following:

  • The M44 howitzer joins the game under the banners of no less than six nations.
  • Premium light tanks RDF-LT and BMD-4M join the US and Russian forces.
  • Many other armored vehicles, including the Strela-10M AA system, PzH 2000 howitzer, and the Namer Tsrikhon.
  • The Su-33 joins the game as a squadron piece of military hardware.
  • The Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier is now a part of the test flights for aircraft.
  • Based on the southeastern Greek landscape, Attica joins the game as a new location for ground battles.

The full list of changes can be found on this page. As usual, the changelog is very long, so be sure to have some time at your disposal for checking it out properly.

Aviation fans looking for a proper 1/32 Eurofighter Typhoon kit might want to check out the Trumpeter EF-2000A Eurofighter Typhoon, which currently retails for $83.89 on Amazon.
