Metal band Sabaton joins World of Warships in update 15.2

Way back in 2017, Wargaming teamed up with Swedish power metal masters Sabaton to bring something special to World of Tanks. Now, the time has come for World of Warships to receive the same treatment. While the update has already been applied to the servers, and users must install it to be able to play the game, the Sabaton-themed campaign will kick off tomorrow and last until April 16. In addition to various in-game goodies that will be detailed on the official website soon, the band will also launch a new song inspired by naval history during this event.
World of Warships 15.2 comes with plenty of highlights, offering much more than just Sabaton-fueled content, as you can see below:
- Commander Joakim Brodén, available for any ship, as well as a new Sabaton-themed permanent camouflage for the Yamato.
- Arctic Convoy, Tokyo Express, and Pacific Offensive return to the game.
- The Battle of Cape Matapan event pass will run from today until April 8.
- Updated aircraft carrier mechanics.
- New interface customization options.
- Rebalanced Okinawa map.
- New Ember Core permanent camouflages.
- Royal Netherlands Navy permanent camouflages for Java, De Ruyter, Celebes, and Kijkduin.
In addition to the above, players should be aware that the Lunar New Year events remain available until April 8. European battleships are now out of the early access stage, so anyone can grab them without the need to perform any special missions. Brawls, Ranked Battles, and Clan Battles receive new seasons. Obviously, the update also comes with several minor tweaks and fixes, as usual.
