Unlike many of its predecessors, the latest update to Gaijin's flagship product, War Thunder, comes with a few noticeable interface changes as well as revamped crew mechanics. Obviously, there's much more to War Thunder 2.37 "Seek & Destroy" than meets the eye, for example, the ability to drag and drop vehicles from the research trees. Released earlier today, this refresh takes War Thunder one big step forward.
While the list of new military hardware includes a little for everyone, including helicopter pilots and ship captains, these are just several of this update's highlights:
- FOX-3 missiles are now available for each nation.
- Baz Meshupar, F-15C, and a few other jets capable of carrying the FOX-3.
- New light vehicles such as the Desert Warrior and the XM800T.
- Dutch and Belgian aircraft have joined the French tree.
- Detailed helicopter cockpits that entirely match the hardware present in real life.
- Strela-2M missile-equipped Bernau minesweeper,
- Premium VLT-2, the first coastal boat to join the French tech tree.
- Mysterious Valley and Bering Sea, as well as multiple changes in old maps.
- More modules for ground vehicles, such as electronic gear, FCS, autoloaders, aiming drives, and more.
- Updated crew models by era, as well as automatic healing for wounded crew members.
The full list of changes is quite long and can be found on this page. Obviously, those who are into War Thunder might find it more rewarding to just grab the Academy USS Enterprise CVN-65 Aircraft Carrier Plastic Model Kit (1/600 Scale) and spend some time building it instead, especially since it's currently available on Amazon for $49.50 instead of $55.95 thanks to a 12% discount.
