War Thunder 2.23 "Apex Predators" arrives as the year's last update to bring the F-16A, MiG-29, and much more
Less than a month after the 2.21 "Fire and Ice" update that came with Finnish lines in the Swedish tech trees and flamethrowers as a new weapon type, the time has come for a holiday treat. The "Apex Predators" update is labeled 2.23 and comes with over 40 new and updated pieces of military hardware, including a trio of iconic jet fighters. This trio consists of the F-16, MiG-29, and Tornado fighters, which are joining the game in the new rank VIII.
In addition to the researchable aircraft mentioned above, a few premiums have been added as well, including the MiG-21bis "Lazur-M", F-104S-TAF Starfighter, and Kfir Canard. The ground forces receive the Khalid and Magach 7C, the M728, SUB-I-II, and a few updates to existing vehicles. Naval battles get the RN Duca degli Abruzzi, USS Newport News, as well as five AI-controlled carriers.
In addition to the above, War Thunder 2.23 "Apex Predators" also comes with a new Gold Quarry location alongside the reworked winter-themed Poland map, both for ground battles. Last but not the least, seven new music tracks have been added for high-ranked ground and air battles, the existing soundtrack has been reworked, and naval battles got new voices in nation-specific languages.
