An industry pricing guide has possibly leaked the pricing of the 2023 Kia EV6 GT in Australia. The EV will arrive in the country in January, starting from AU$99,590 (~US$66,825). For context, the entry-level EV6 retails for AU$72,590 (~US$48,708) and the competitor Tesla Model Y Performance costs AU$96,700 (~US$64,886). While Kia has yet to confirm the price of the EV6 GT, it has revealed some features will come as standard in the Australian model.
The all-wheel drive model has a 430 kW dual motor with 576 hp and up to 740 Nm (~545 lb-ft) of torque. The EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km (~60 mph) in around 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 162 mph (~260 kph). The GT version also has electronic controlled suspension (ECD), electronic limited slip differential (eLSD) and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The electric vehicle has a 77.4 kWh battery that allows you to travel for up to 206 miles (~332 km) on a single charge.
Plus, the EV6 has a 12.3-in (~31 cm) panoramic display, heads-up display and driver assistance tools like blind spot detection and lane following assistance as standard. The Kia EV6 GT was announced in April and launched in the US over the summer. The official pricing and complete list of features of the 2023 Kia EV6 GT for the Australian market are expected to be announced at the Australian Open in January.
