Kia has announced that it will debut the EV6 GT at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this month. The company will demonstrate the all-electric car’s performance using the event’s hillclimb and display the EV in the First Glance Paddock.
The Kia EV6 GT has a dual-motor drivetrain that provides 577 bhp and 740 Nm of torque. The EV has a top speed of 162 mph (~260 kph) and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (~100 kph) in 3.5 seconds. The car has a driving range of 263 miles (~424 km) and can charge from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes.
For comparison, the standard RWS Kia EV6 has 226 bhp with 350 Nm torque. The vehicle has a top speed of 114 mph (~183 kph), 0 to 62 mph (~100 kph) acceleration of 7.3 seconds and up to 328 miles of range (~528 km).
GT mode is activated via a button on the steering wheel, optimizing the vehicle’s motors, steering and suspension for a pleasing driving experience. You can adjust the performance settings to suit you with My Drive mode. You can now pre-order the Kia EV6 GT for £59,995 (~US$72,469). Deliveries of the EV are due to begin in the UK at the end of the year.
