War Thunder 2.29 "Sons of Attila" comes with Hungarian ground vehicles and helicopters, rank VI ships, and more
Yesterday, Gaijin updated War Thunder once again. The game is now at version 2.29 and this update's name should say a lot about what's new, because "Sons of Attila" clearly suggests that Hungarian military hardware is involved. However, this update comes with much more than a few land vehicles and helicopters carrying the Hungarian flag.
The 11 Hungarian ground vehicles that have been added to the game are researchable by anyone and can be found in the Italian tech tree. This minor branch starts with the 39.M Csaba armored car and goes all the way up to the 2018-dated Lynx KF41 fighting vehicle that was designed and manufactured in Germany for the Hungarian Army. Italy also gets a trio of Hungarian Mi-24 helicopters, of which one is premium, namely the Mi-24P.
Bluewater navy fans can enjoy now even more powerful ships thanks to the addition of rank VI floating fortresses such as the USS Texas (BB-35), while those who enjoy flying jets receive top-tier gear such as the F-16C Block 50, Barak II, and MiG-29SMT. Obviously, some lower-tier gems are also included in this update, for example the He 115 C-1 flying boat.
In addition to all the new military hardware introduced across all nations, War Thunder 2.29 "Sons of Attila" brings a realistic HUD for helicopters, new trees and wind effects, a new map (Rocky Pillars), quite a few bug fixes, and more. The full list of changes is already present online, as usual.
