AYANEO has now provided more information about the SLIDE, its first gaming handheld with a built-in keyboard. Based around an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U APU, the AYANEO SLIDE has a 6-inch IPS display and hall triggers, among other gaming-related hardware.

AYANEO has now shared almost all details about the SLIDE, save for a release date and pricing. To recap, the device received its first outing alongside the AYANEO 2 over a year ago. Since then, AYANEO has teased the SLIDE a few times, most recently by announcing launch preparations.

Now, the company has opened an AYANEO SLIDE Indiegogo campaign, albeit in preview mode for the time being. As usual, you can sign up on Indiegogo to receive more details about the SLIDE when AYANEO releases them. According to the company, the key features of the SLIDE are as follows:

  • 6-inch IPS display/1080p resolution/wide colour gamut coverage
  • Adjustable screen angle/infinite adjustment SLIDE rail
  • AMD Ryzen 7 7840U APU
  • AYANEO Hyper Sound stereo dual speakers
  • AYANEO master controller system
  • AYASpace 2 software

Moreover, AYANEO states that the SLIDE has a customised heat dissipation system, plus expansion options. However, we think the latter only extends to an M.2-based SSD. Furthermore, the AYANEO SLIDE has hall-sensing joysticks and triggers, plus a 6-axis gyroscope and an x-axis linear motor. Arguably, one of the device's biggest selling points is its backlit keyboard, which is hidden by default.
