Realme introduced the Neo 7 with a class-leading 7,000mAh battery, and definitely intends to do the same with its upcoming SE variant, according to the noted leaker Digital Chat Station.
The tipster also purports to confirm that the 7 SE will have a 1.5K display, thereby hinting that it might also have the same screen as its series flagship sibling. However, it will reportedly swap the 7's Dimensity 9300+ for the same lower-tier 8400 as the new Poco X7 Pro.
Realme apparently plans to modify the new 4nm platform too, albeit into a Max version rather than an Ultra. The latter might sound better, although the 7 SE might make up for that with its larger battery.
Then again, it seems the impending smartphone will have the same wired charging technology as the Neo 7, which means it might be capped at 80W as opposed to 90W in the X7 Pro.
The successor to the X6 Pro (now available for as little as $286 on Amazon) might also be the better-looking of the 2, with the 7 SE allegedly adopting a much plainer take on the new dual rear camera Android smartphone look without so much as the extra angles of the Neo 7's camera hump.
The 7 SE will get a 50MP main shooter, at least, which might be the Sony IMX882 rather than the newer (or newer-sounding, at least) LYT-600 of the X7 Pro. It also reportedly has to wait until February to become the world's second Dimensity 8400 smartphone of 2025.
