Xiaomi launched the Pad 7 in China months ago and is set to bring it to the global market shortly. That tablet, however, does not represent the company's best efforts, with the Pad 6S Pro still retaining that honor. According to previous reports, Xiaomi is set to launch an actual premium tablet this year, worthy of being regarded as a flagship.
As shared by Kartikey Singh, Xiaomi has a new tablet in the works. This tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, making it Xiaomi's first tablet to launch with the current-gen Qualcomm flagship chipset. For example, while the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro bears the "Pro" moniker, it's powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a sub-premium chipset.
The source fails to provide further information other than a potential release being scheduled for later in the year but prior leaks indicate the tablet in question is likely to sport an OLED screen—a first for Xiaomi. It can also be expected to match the Pad 6S Pro's 120 W charging.
