Xiaomi Pad 7 series: Launch imminent but tablets may not be as impressive as rumored
Xiaomi is set to release two new tablets in China this year. As previously reported, both devices have been certified with the model numbers "24091RPADC" and "2410CRP4CC". While previous leaks touted the presence of current-gen flagship hardware, it appears these two tablets will not be as impressive as rumored.
According to Digital Chat Station, the two upcoming tablets will not be flagship models and will generally offer hardware worse than what the Pad 6S Pro (buy on Amazon) launched with earlier in the year. For one, the two tablets have been certified with slower charging wattages—45 W and 67 W versus the Pad 6S Pro's 120 W charging.
The source claims the two tablets are "obviously not as good as the Pad 6S Pro" but also confirms that Xiaomi will launch its proper flagship tablet models later on. The leaker also indicates that neither of the two tablets will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3; it's likelier that chipsets like the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 are used instead.
Finally, the two tablets—potentially branded as the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro—are expected to debut in China next month alongside the Xiaomi 15 series. They will feature LCD screens, with the more premium OLED tablets slated to launch next year with flagship-grade hardware onboard.
