Xiaomi CEO confirms MIX Flip foldable will get a global launch this September
Xiaomi launched the MIX Flip, its first clamshell-style foldable in July. Following its launch, it was reported it would get a global release shortly after but that didn't happen. Now, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, has announced the foldable will get a global launch later this month.

CEO Lei Jun posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the Xiaomi MIX Flip will be announced for global markets this September. The announcement was a quoted tweet to a poll he ran back in July asking fans if they want the MIX Flip to be available in their region.
While it has been confirmed that the clamshell foldable will be getting a proper global release, no official date was mentioned. However, since Xiaomi has a launch event scheduled for September 26 which is for the unveiling of the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro, it won't be far-fetched for the Xiaomi MIX Flip's global release to be on the same day.
Excited to announce that #XiaomiMIXFlip will be coming to global markets this September. This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support from our amazing Xiaomi Fans! #XiaomiLaunch https://t.co/AdCJGWX582

Despite the global release of the Xiaomi MIX Flip, the clamshell foldable will definitely not be available in all regions such as North America where Xiaomi doesn't sell its phones. Nevertheless, it should still be able to challenge the Galaxy Z Flip 6 (curr. $949 on Amazon) and the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra (curr. available to buy on Amazon.de for €999) in other markets.
