The launch of Samsung's long-awaited 'Special Edition' foldable has taken another twist. In recent weeks, rumours about the so-called Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition went rather quiet. Instead, the focus has shifted to the Galaxy S25 series, including the range-topping Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Now, what appears to be a legitimate pre-reservation page has appeared on SK Telecom's T Store in South Korea. For context, Samsung is only expected to release its Special Edition smartphone in China and its home market. However, the image embedded below directly contradicts a key detail that a renowned leaker outlined a month ago.

Specifically, the page refers to the device as the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition and not 'Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition' as Evan Blass previously argued. If that is the case, then it would seem that Samsung will position the device as a special edition variant of the Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,598.99 - 512 GB on Amazon) rather than as a distinct model in of itself. At any rate, the poster suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition will debut during the fourth week of October, around October 25.
