Samsung Galaxy A16 to come with 6 years of updates for €209
After a leak in mid-September revealed the most important details about the features of the Galaxy A16 5G, SamInsider was able to find out the alleged official euro prices of two variants of the smartphone. Allegedly, the Galaxy A16 4G with 128 GB flash storage will be launched for €209.90, while the Galaxy A16 5G with the same storage configuration will cost €239.90.
The two successors to the Galaxy A15 are likely to differ primarily in terms of the processor, although no further details on the 4G model are yet available. According to earlier leaks, Samsung will provide both smartphones with six major Android updates and six years of security patches, which is quite a challenge in this price range. Depending on the region, the Galaxy A16 5G will be equipped with either a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 or a Samsung Exynos 1330.

The device will reportedly be offered with 4 GB to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB to 256 GB of flash storage. Samsung is said to have installed a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080, a full-surface peak brightness of 800 nits and a frame rate of 90 Hz.
The device is supposedly IP54 certified, which means that the housing is still not completely waterproof, but unlike the previous model, the smartphone has some degree of resistance against rain and splashes of water. The design has hardly changed, as Samsung is sticking with a flat frame with a "key island", a notch and a wider chin under the display. When exactly the Galaxy A16 will be officially unveiled remains unclear.
