Infinix Zero Flip debuts as new foldable Android smartphone with sub-Motorola Razr 2024 price-point
Infinix touts the Zero Flip as the foldable smartphone for its target Gen Z audience, albeit with features to match its more premium clamshell rivals.
To that end, it has the same "camcorder" function for its 50MP rear cameras as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 to go with always-on displays that can be a home to a virtual pet - although Infinix goes for a slightly more unique collection of digital animals that include an alpaca and a dachshund.
Now that the Zero Flip is official, Infinix can no longer hide its similarity to the pre-existing, Dimensity 8020-powered Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, however. Nevertheless, that confers a cover display that wraps around vertically-mounted dual rear camera rings, just like the Xiaomi Mix Flip, on the newer device.
Its main display is also virtually identical to that of the Dimensity 7300X-based Motorola Razr 2024, except that the new Infinix version goes at 120Hz rather than 165Hz. Then again, the former is still priced at $699.99 on Amazon at the time of writing, whereas the Zero Flip's RRP has been set at around $600.
Then again, that price could differ based on when or where the new foldable will be sold: details that are yet to be outlined.
