Garmin has started quietly rolling out a new beta update for its latest flagship smartwatches. Available worldwide, the update is said to contain over half a dozen improvements, many of which are aimed at resolving outstanding bugs.

The Enduro 3, Fenix E, and Fenix 8 are now receiving new updates at a rate of knots. On the one hand, Garmin has just published a new stable update for the trio, details of which we have covered separately. On the other hand, it is now offering up another beta update, which is quite a few steps ahead of its stable counterpart.

For context, hardly any time has passed since the company introduced the first set of beta updates for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, and Fenix 8. In summary, Garmin claimed to have included roughly forty changes in Beta Versions 11.81 and 11.82. Nonetheless, it has now pushed Beta Version 11.84 with another eight refinements.

According to Garmin, an Enduro 3, Fenix E or Fenix 8 (curr. $1,099.99 on Amazon) enrolled on its Beta Program will not download Beta Version 11.84 automatically. Instead, one must do so manually by heading to Menu, System, Software Update and then tapping 'Check for Updates'. Please note that all current beta builds disable dive and ECG features across all three smartwatches. As for changes, Garmin outlines the following bug fixes in its forum post:

  • Improved Visuals for Disabled Power Controls.
  • Fixed Water Ejection when DND Enabled.
  • Fixed Volume Menu Alignment.
  • Fixed Nap Timer Not Sounding.
  • Fixed inability to do Strength Free workouts.
  • Fixed Crash in Battery Saver for Various Languages.
  • Fixed ClimbPro Behavior in Active Navigation Loop.
  • Fixed alarm volume adjust when using buttons.
