Newly launched Xiaomi Pad 7 series becomes available for purchase outside China via import
Xiaomi introduced the Pad 7 series in China on October 29, but just like the flagship Xiaomi 15 series, the two new Android tablets aren't officially available outside China yet. However, if you are okay with importing, you can purchase them from TradingShenzhen.
Of course, you do need to factor in some of the tradeoffs of importing devices from third-party stores. One of them is the fact that both the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro will come with Chinese firmware. While HyperOS 2 does have the option to set the system language to English, you will find some Chinese bloatware installed, and the experience won't be fully identical to that of a global ROM.
Another big consideration is the warranty. While TradingShenzhen has a decent warranty policy, you need to send it back if anything goes wrong with the imported Xiaomi tablet, which can be a bit inconvenient.
As for the price, the base model of Xiaomi Pad 7 costs $409.18 on TradingShenzhen, while the Pad 7 Pro starts at $506.86. To compare, these two launched in China at a starting price of CNY 1,999 (about $280) and CNY 2,499 (around $351), respectively. So, TradingShenzhen's current price is a bit steep in comparison, but the global variants will probably launch with similar price tags.
Regarding the Android tablets themselves, the standard Pad 7 packs the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, while the Pro has the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Both are upper mid-range SoCs, so you can expect to get decent performance out of them. The tablets also come with an 11.2-inch screen, have an 8,850 mAh battery, and feature up to 12 GB of RAM.
