Several Android OEMs have released high-end tablets of late. To recap, Samsung kicked off proceedings with the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (curr. $1,499 on Amazon), which both utilise MediaTek's Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset.
Following that, ZTE brought the RedMagic Nova to global audiences with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, which Qualcomm has since supplanted with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Moreover, Honor has now started selling the Tablet GT Pro in China with the less powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is complemented by an MAX Enhanced OLED display.
Now, Oppo has joined the party with the Pad 3 Pro, which contains the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset as the RedMagic Nova. However, it features an IPS panel instead of an OLED or AMOLED equivalent. Nonetheless, the 12.1-inch display still outputs at 3,000 x 2,120 pixels with 900 nits (HBM) peak brightness and a 144 Hz refresh rate.
Furthermore, the Pad 3 Pro boasts LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and a 9,510 mAh battery that supports 67 W wired charging. On top of that, Oppo has included stylus support with 2.0 ms latency and a four-speaker array within a 268.7 x 195.1 x 6.5 mm aluminium housing that weighs 586 g.
As it stands, Oppo is offering the Pad 3 Pro in four memory configurations. For reference, the tablet starts at CNY 3,299 (~$463) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. However, it is also available with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of storage, culminating in a 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB configuration that retails for CNY 4,499 (~$632). Oppo has not disclosed any international release plans yet, though.
