Oppo is projected to launch its first ever Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone in April 2025; now, the OEM is tipped to unleash its first ever tablet with the same processor at the same time.
The device should thus succeed the Pad 3 Pro (also available internationally as the OnePlus Pad 2) as Oppo's new flagship tablet.
Intriguing as that prospect is, the new Digital Chat Station tip does not explain what happened to the "Pad 3 Ultra" of earlier rumors.
Then again, the "Pad 4 Pro" is tipped to target the same category of extra-large tablets that border on laptop replacements with ~13- or even ~14-inch displays, such as the $1,099.99 Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, in any case.
Accordingly, it would be interesting to see if the Find X8 Ultra's alleged tablet counterpart will have an OLED display as opposed to the LCD panels of the Oppo Pad line-up to date.
Nothing is known or said about the "Pad 4 Pro's" appearance or additional specs to date, although the X8 Ultra is now said to launch as a thinner and lighter device than potential rivals such as the Vivo X200 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, while challenging the latter with cameras that support "physical" telephoto macro, "3X" periscope mid-focus and "6X" periscope zoom features.
