Leak reveals Oppo X8 Pad gaming tablet is coming soon
Following the launch of gaming tablets such as the Lenovo Legion Y700 a.k.a. Lenovo Legion Tab and the RedMagic Nova, Oppo seems to want a piece of the cake, too, as a report has revealed the Chinese tech giant has its first gaming tablet on the way.
The info comes from the Chinese leaker, Digital Chat Station who had previously revealed key specs of an unnamed compact tablet that will launch with MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 flagship chipset. However, the name of the device wasn't revealed in the original Weibo post.

Now, a comment by the leaker under the original post has revealed the identity of the tablet. The comment was a response to another Weibo user who said the device is the X8 Mini
. However, Digital Chat Station's reply clarified that isn't the case, and added that the tablet is actually an X8 series gaming tablet
that will launch as the Oppo X8 Pad.
There is no info on when the Oppo X8 Pad will be announced but it probably won't arrive before the Find X8 Ultra which is set to be announced next spring.
Based on the already leaked specs, the Oppo X8 Pad will have an 8.8-inch high resolution display with a high refresh rate. The display is an LCD panel that lacks a punch hole and has rounded corners. Considering it is a tablet, it is not surprising that the display doesn't have a punch hole since the front-facing camera will be housed in the bezel.
The Oppo X8 Pad will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 but details about the RAM and storage remain unknown. Nevertheless, it is expected that there will be multiple RAM and storage configurations available. The tablet is also reported to have a slim metallic build. It should also run ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 and have support for fast charging.

The Oppo X8 Pad will most likely make its debut in China, but whether it will get a wider release either as an Oppo-branded tablet or rebadged under the OnePlus brand remains unknown.
