Honor launched the Pad V9 in China as an affordable tablet with a decent set of specs. The company has now brought the device outside the Chinese market, but the specs aren't exactly identical. To be specific, it's the charging speed that doesn't match between the two.
While the Chinese variant can charge at 66 W, the international variant maxes out at 35 W. The other specs of the global and Chinese variants are the same, though. That means both feature a large 10,100 mAh battery, which, according to Honor, is enough for 13.5 hours of video streaming and 40 hours of music streaming.
This new Android tablet is powered by the Dimensity 8350 Elite. Here, the "Elite" suffix is basically a marketing term. Nonetheless, this MediaTek SoC is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Honor says that this configuration makes the Pad V9 well-equipped for gaming, productivity tasks, and entertainment.
On the front, the Pad V9 comes with a large 11.5-inch display. This LCD screen has pen support (Microsoft Surface Pen curr. $26.49 on Amazon), sports a 144 Hz refresh rate, and boasts multiple eye-protection technologies for comfortable viewing. The front also houses an 8 MP selfie camera, while the back sports a single 13 MP sensor.
When it comes to the software, the Honor Pad V9 runs on MagicOS 9.0, which is based on Android 15. There are a handful of AI-powered features within the operating system, including the AI-driven eye protection technology mentioned earlier.
Other highlights of the Android tablet include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and an eight-speaker setup with DTS X: Ultra and Spatial Audio support. Honor has yet to share the price and availability details for the global Pad V9, but in China, it starts at around $300.
