The Xiaomi Pad 7 has been around for a while now, having been presented in China last October alongside the more expensive Pad 7 Pro. Now, Xiaomi has brought both tablets to MWC 2025 in Barcelona for their global release. To recap, the Pad 7 combines the following hardware to replace the older Pad 6 (curr. $419.99 on Amazon):
- 11.2-inch IPS display, 2,136 x 3,200 pixels, 144 Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset
- 8,850 mAh battery, 45 W wired charging (0-100% in 80 minutes)
- 8 MP front-facing/13 MP rear-facing cameras
Xiaomi has crammed all this hardware into a 6.2 mm housing that weighs a mere 500 g. Moreover, the Pad 7 has arrived globally running HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, just like the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. On top of that, the tablet is compatible with Xiaomi's Cover, Focus Keyboard and Focus Pen accessories.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 is available from €399.90 (~$415) in the Eurozone with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, Xiaomi also sells a 256 GB of storage option for €50 more. However, this ships with the same amount of RAM and Blue, Grey, and Green colour options as its cheaper sibling. Please see Xiaomi's website for more details.
