Xiaomi's next Android tablet is tipped to launch as a direct successor to the Pad 6 Max 14, with top-of-the-line specs to go with its extra-large screen. It might be joined at its launch in the second quarter of the year by multiple other large-screen slates from other brands.
The "Pad 7 Max" that has just leaked onto the 3C database will indeed have a 14-inch display, according to the prodigious tipster Digital Chat Station. It is also now backed to have top-end specs to go with its potentially class-leading 120W HyperCharge technology, thereby becoming the true Xiaomi flagship tablet we have been waiting for on its launch.
That event may or may not happen in April 2025, and could thus see the Pad 7 Max debut as the world's first tablet with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
It might have to do battle for that title with the upcoming Oppo Pad 4 Pro, though: another supposedly upcoming tablet with the same class-leading SoC.
The putative "Pad 7 Max" challenger is tipped to launch with a smaller 13.2-inch display, however, and with less powerful 80W wired charging.
The alleged super-tablets might be challenged by a 3rd slate believed to launch at around the same time, although it would be the smallest and slowest-charging of the bunch, at closer to 13 inches and with the 66W standard most often linked to Honor.
Its allegedly upcoming tablet might have the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC instead, which, like the 8 Elite, has heretofore been reserved for high-end smartphones to date.
All of the mysterious upcoming tablets as above are thought to have LCD displays - except for the Pad 7 Max, which may or may not be OLED.
Therefore, Xiaomi's April 2025 tablet could be the most expensive of the season, with its alleged 9400 alternative possibly coming in at the cheapest.
