Xiaomi has two premium tablets in the works. These tablets, expected to be the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max and a still-unnamed Redmi gaming tablet, have surfaced in multiple leaks over the last few months, and the latest of the lot has now revealed some important details on the duo.
As shared by Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max is "coming soon". The tablet was reported to have been delayed following rumors of a possible April debut, but it now seems its launch isn't far off anymore. While an exact launch date isn't provided, whisperings by Chinese netizens seem to indicate a late May release could be on the cards.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Max is expected to sport a 14-inch OLED screen, making it Xiaomi's first OLED tablet, and will be a direct successor to the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max 14 which was released in 2023. While it will not be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the source claims the flagship tablet will feature a 3nm chipset. Said chipset will likely be a Qualcomm offering, limiting the possibilities to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The former is likelier, but both chipsets perform about the same either way. A 10,000 mAh battery has also been mooted.
The upcoming Redmi gaming tablet will be Xiaomi's other premium model. That tablet has now been claimed to feature an 8.8-inch LCD screen and a Dimensity 9400+. It's tipped to be equipped with dual Type-C ports and dual x-axis motors as well. A June debut is expected.
