The Xiaomi Pad 7 series is slated to debut globally in a few weeks. While they may be Xiaomi's mainstream tablets for now, the company has plans to release a gaming tablet under the Redmi brand, and a new leak has now revealed more information about that device.
As shared by Digital Chat Station, the Redmi gaming tablet is on the way. This isn't the first time the leaker has mentioned the existence of the tablet, but they now claim to have access to it. Reportedly, the Redmi gaming tablet will arrive with dual X-axis motors, dual Type-C ports, and dual speakers. Dual Type-C ports are yet to become a mainstream tablet feature, and opens up the possibility of external display output and bypass charging—both of which enhance productivity and gaming respectively.
In addition to those, the Redmi gaming tablet is rumored to be powered by a flagship chipset, likely the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 or 9400+, It'll sport an LCD screen in the region of 8". Supposedly, though, Xiaomi still plans to launch at least one OLED tablet this year. As previously reported, said tablet will arrive as the company's first actual flagship tablet and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
It's unknown when exactly Redmi's gaming tablet will launch but the source claims it will debut sometime in Q3, with Xiaomi having other high-profile releases scheduled for Q2 already.
