The next generation of RedMagic Nova tablets is now said to have a display of exactly 9 inches while that of its potential Legion Tab Gen 4 (or Y700 4th Gen) nemesis is 8.8 inches - and also the lower of the 2 in resolution at 2400 x 1504 compared to 2650 x 1600 in Lenovo's new gaming tablet.
However, the "Nova 2" (or possibly Nova Mini/Nova S, as it is allegedly more compact) might still have the edge with an upgrade to OLED, compared to IPS-LCD as in its Lenovo rival and own predecessor.
It is also thought to have an ultra-high refresh rate and to be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite processor as the Y700 4th Gen.
The second-gen Nova might augment cooling for the top-end chipset with its own in-built fan, as with its forebear.
It is also now backed to have the larger battery of the 2 with a capacity now estimated at 8,240mAh - although that would hardly be an achievement, as the 2025 Y700 has turned out to be a 6,550mAh machine (and thereby roundly outclassed by some new smartphones).
The upcoming 2025 RedMagic Nova is now rumored to have the largest battery in a tablet this year nonetheless (which might not say a lot for another supposedly upcoming rival from Redmi).
That spec might also make it the thickest gaming tablet of the year as well, however.
