OnePlus is set to expand its tablet division tomorrow with the launch of the Pad 2 Pro in China. If recent leaks are accurate, the Pad 2 Pro could be merely a re-branded Oppo Pad 4 Pro rather than a distinct offering. While that is up in the air for the time being, what could be the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro has already turned up on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Based on the two listings that have been posted so far, the OnePlus' next high-end tablet could have enough performance to pull past current options like the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and the RedMagic Nova (curr. $649 on Amazon). In part, that is because these tablets feature last-generation chipsets, with a Dimensity 9300+ in the former and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version in the latter.
Nonetheless, single-core and multi-core scores of 3,067 and 8,897 would put the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro well beyond contemporary flagship tablets. Likewise, an OpenCL score of 18,461 is roughly 50% higher than the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra achieves in the same test. With that being said, these early scores are rather middle-of-the-road when it comes to Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphones. As it stands, it is unclear whether OnePlus has any plans to sell the Pad 2 Pro outside China.
