OnePlus has now launched the Pad 2 Pro in China, having released the Pad 2 last summer. As early benchmarks suggested, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which OnePlus complements with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The new tablet combines a 12,140 mAh battery with 67 W wired charging too, just like the Oppo Pad 4 Pro before it.
While OnePlus decided against rebadging the Oppo Find N5 as the OnePlus Open 2, the Pad 2 Pro and Oppo Pad 4 Pro are evidently the same device sold under two names. As evidence of that, the Pad 2 Pro matches its Oppo stablemate with 289.9 x 209.7 x 6 mm dimensions and a 675 g official weight. As a result, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is roughly the same size as the Apple iPad Pro 13 (curr. $1,099.99 on Amazon).
OnePlus installs a 13.2-inch IPS display too that offers a 144 Hz refresh rate and 900 nits peak brightness (HBM) with a 3,392 x 2,400-pixel native resolution. The Pad 2 Pro also benefits from quad speakers, as well as an optional keyboard accessory that includes a built-in trackpad. The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro starts at CNY 3,199 (~$444) in China with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage but rises to CNY 3,999 (~$555) with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. OnePlus has not confirmed whether its latest tablet will be available globally at this stage, though.
