Oppo has now released the Pad 4 Pro in China, just days before Vivo introduces the competing Pad5 Pro. For now anyway, the Pad 4 Pro lines up as Oppo's alternative to the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and iPad Pro 13 (curr. $1,219 on Amazon), as its name suggests.
On the one hand, Oppo has achieved this by installing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which it complements with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Also, the Pad 4 Pro boasts a 13.2-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 3,392 x 2,400-pixel native resolution. While only an IPS panel, the Pad 4 Pro is said to hit 900 nits with 96% NTSC colour space coverage and a 144 Hz refresh rate.
On top of that, the Pad 4 Pro supports an optional keyboard case with an integrated trackpad, as well as an active stylus like many competing tablets. Oppo has included a 12,140 mAh battery too, with support for up to 67 W wired charging, plus 8 MP front-facing and 13 MP rear-facing cameras. For reference, Oppo has packed all this hardware inside a 5.97 mm housing.
The Oppo Pad 4 Pro starts at CNY 3,299 (~$451) in China with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. By contrast, the tablet's most expensive memory configuration runs to CNY 4,099 (~$560). Unfortunately, Oppo has not confirmed whether it intends to sell its latest high-end tablet outside its home market like the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.
