Vivo Pad SE: Official specifications revealed for new budget Android tablet

Around a week has passed since Vivo officially shared details about its next high-end Android tablet. As we discussed at the time, the specifications revealed appeared to suggest that the Pad5 Pro would outperform the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series and trade blows with the Oppo Pad 4 Pro.

However, the Pad5 Pro is not the only tablet that Vivo has prepared for its April 21 launch event. Instead, the Pad5 Pro will be joined by the Pad SE, as well as a variety of other devices. To that end, Vivo has now teased a few hardware Pad SE hardware specifications before next Monday's showcase.

Contrary to earlier leaks, the Pad SE will line up with a 12.3-inch display. As a result, the tablet will be smaller than both the Pad3 Pro and Pad5 Pro while coming up just 0.01-inches short of the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus (curr. $849.99 on Amazon). Vivo has confirmed that the large display will also leverage blue light reduction technologies to keep eye strain to a minimum; its refresh rate and resolution remain unknown for now, though.

The Pad SE is set to launch with an 8,500 mAh battery, too. With that being said, the tablet may only be capable of recharging at a mere 15 W. Unfortunately, other specifications remain unknown for the time being, as does whether Vivo plans to offer the Pad SE globally. Based on the images embedded below, the company has committed to selling the tablet with launch colours to choose from in its home market.
