Honor has confirmed the existence of a new tablet, which it will be unveiling on April 23 as the Honor Pad GT or Honor Tablet GT. So far, the company has confirmed hardly anything about the device beyond what is contained in the teaser image embedded below.
In other words, the Honor Pad GT is set to launch in at least two colours, both with relatively slim display bezels. Based on the image below, the display is also IMAX Enhanced certified like last year's Pad GT Pro and Pad V9. Incidentally, Honor's latest tablet features a single rear-facing camera and an oversized secondary housing for its small LED flash array.
Apparently, the comparisons between the Pad GT and Pad V9 do not end there, either. If a screenshot circulating on Chinese social media is accurate, then the Pad GT is the retail name of 'ROL-W60', which emerged last year as a possible variant of the Pad V9.
The specifications mentioned in the screenshot embedded above indicate that the Pad GT is effectively a re-branded Pad V9. To that end, the Pad GT is said to contain a 10,100 mAh battery, 12 GB of RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset just like the Pad V9. Likewise, the Pad GT features a display with the same 2,800 x 1,840-pixel resolution as the Pad V9. Based on our time with the Pad V9, a Dimensity 8350 chipset and 12 GB of RAM would see the Honor Pad GT outperforming the OnePlus Pad 2 but trailing the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (curr. $419 on Amazon) in GPU heavy tasks like gaming.
